Frequently Asked Questions

Daycare Services

What is daycare?

Daycare is our daytime care service where your dog can socialize, play, and receive attentive care while you're at work or busy during the day. Your pup will enjoy supervised playtime with other small dogs in a safe, fun environment, and you'll pick them up the same day.

What are your daycare rates?

For 2025, our regular daycare rate is $33 per day.

During holidays, our daycare rate is $38 per day.

What are your daycare hours?

Drop-off: Between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM, Sunday through Friday.

Pick-up: Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays, pick-ups are available between 3:00 PM and 30 minutes before sunset.

Drop-off and pick-up times are by appointment only. Just let us know when you'll arrive.

We do not offer daycare services on Saturdays.

Boarding Services

What is boarding?

Boarding is our overnight care service for when you're traveling or need extended care for your dog. Your pup will stay with us in a home-like environment, receiving round-the-clock care, regular meals, playtime, and lots of love and attention until you return.

What are your boarding rates?

For 2025, our regular boarding rate is $40 per night or 24-hour period.

During holidays, our boarding rate is $45 per night or 24-hour period.

What are your boarding drop-off and pick-up hours?

We are happy to schedule a time with you to drop-off and pick-up your pup at your convenience, between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, most days.

Please note: We are closed for pick-ups and drop-offs from 30 minutes before sunset on Fridays, until 30 minutes after sunset on Saturdays. However, dogs already in our care during this time receive our full attention and regular care routine.

General Information

Are you open on weekends?

We are open our regular hours on Sundays for both daycare and boarding services.

We close on Friday evenings 30 minutes before sunset, until 30 minutes after sunset on Saturday evening. During this time, we do not accept drop-offs or pick-ups, but dogs already in our care continue to receive our full attention and regular care routine.

Why are you closed on Saturdays?

We observe the biblical Sabbath from Friday evening to Saturday evening. This time is dedicated to worship, rest, and spending quality time with God and family. While we are not available for pick-ups and drop-offs during these hours, please rest assured that your boarding pup will continue to receive the same care and attention as the rest of the week.

What types of dogs do you accept?

We specialize in small dogs and maintain a carefully curated environment for their comfort and safety.

Due to this specialization, there are certain breeds we cannot accommodate, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • • Akitas
  • • Alaskan Malamutes
  • • Chows
  • • Dobermans
  • • German Shepherds
  • • Huskies
  • • Mastiffs
  • • Pit Bulls (including all "bully" breeds)
  • • Rottweilers
  • • Shibu Inus
  • • Wolf hybrids and attack dogs
  • • or any partial mix of the above breeds

What to Expect

What is a "meet and greet"?

A meet and greet is your opportunity to meet us and see that we are responsible, caring, and relaxed people who provide a safe, fun environment for your pup. It's a chance for both you and your dog to get comfortable with us before their first stay.

During the meet and greet, we'll always provide a tour of our fenced backyard where your dog will play and exercise. At our discretion, we may also offer a peek inside our private home. Please understand that our primary responsibility is to the precious pups already in our care, so the extent of the tour may vary based on our current boarding situation.

Who are you and what is your facility like?

We're honest, responsible people who genuinely love dogs. Our "facility" is actually our private home with a secure, fenced backyard – not a commercial kennel. This means your pup will experience a true home environment with all the comforts and personal attention that comes with it.

We believe in creating a warm, family-like atmosphere where dogs feel safe, loved, and part of our pack during their stay. Your dog will receive the same care and attention we give our own pets.

Benefits of Boarding vs. Traveling with Your Dog

Why should I board my dog instead of taking them on my trip?

We love that you want to include your pup in your adventures, but there are several compelling reasons why boarding might be the better choice:

Cost Savings: Hotels typically charge $50 to $75 per pet per night – and that's on top of your room rate! Plus, most hotels prohibit you from leaving your pet unattended in the room, which can severely limit your activities. In comparison, our boarding rates are almost unbelievably affordable, removing the extra expense and complexity of traveling with your dog.

Peace of Mind: When you board with us, your dog is being cared for in a loving home environment by experienced caregivers. You can enjoy your trip without worrying about finding pet-friendly restaurants, dealing with travel anxiety, or managing bathroom breaks during long drives.

Socialization: Your dog gets to make new friends and play with other small dogs in a supervised, safe environment. This socialization is invaluable for their development and happiness – something they miss out on when confined to a hotel room.

Consistency: Dogs thrive on routine. At our home, they maintain regular meal times, play schedules, and sleep patterns. Travel can be stressful and disruptive for many dogs, while boarding provides stability and comfort.
